I'm Sabina, originally from Sweden but moved to Australia in 2006 after meeting my now-husband. I have a Bachelor's in International Relations, which I have never used. I spent my 20s working in retail which I loved because it allowed me to be creative working with Stationery, Furniture and Home Decor but the hours were not the most family-friendly so in my early 30s I started working in Banking and Finance whilst doing Reno’s and Decorating on the side. I had my beautiful daughter in 2015 and returned to Banking last year when she was 18 months old, at that time we had just purchased our forever home and were about to start a massive Reno. After just a few months back at work I received a phone call from Home Beautiful Magazine telling me that I was one of the finalists in their Beautiful Rooms Competition with our Dining Room in our Swedish House on The Bellarine Peninsula💕. This was the moment I decided if not now when? Days later, I enrolled with The Interior Design Institute to do a Diploma of Interior Design and left my job at the bank. I also decided that I would project manage the renovation and extension of our new house and learnt so much in doing so!! On previous projects, the build was managed by my hubby and interiors and fittings by me.
I am always looking for ways to make over people’s homes on a tight budget whilst still making it look luxe!
Having renovated several properties on a small budget together with my husband I know it can be done without sacrificing quality and looks.
Our Swedish House on the Bellarine Peninsula which was featured as a 2017 finalist in Home Beautiful Magazines “Beautiful Room Competition” is a great example.
After many years working in retail management and banking I decided to follow my dream and turn my passion into a career by helping others create beautiful homes by providing interior design and styling advice.
