Interior Design Course Tutors

Wendi Snyder

For over a decade, Wendi has supported students on their interior design journey at The Interior Design Institute (IDI).

Before commencing her career in interior design, Wendi had a twenty-five-year career in theatre, working in costume and set design for both student and professional productions at the renowned Alexander Theatre at Monash University.

She collaborated with theatre producers such as Michael Edgley, Kevin Jacobson, and Cameron Macintosh, gaining a wealth of experience that took her around the world.

During her travels, Wendi developed a deep appreciation for architecture and interior design, which led her to educate herself in these fields.

After leaving show business, she transitioned into interior design, working with property developers on both commercial and residential projects.

Wendi is passionate about education and finds it rewarding to pass on her extensive knowledge to her students. As a tutor at IDI, she also runs her own interior design consultancy, focusing on kitchens, bathrooms, and colour schemes. She is a member of the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and continues to consult on domestic projects.
