Overview

The Interior Design Institute is a subsidiary of Online Education Pty. Limited.

By accepting these terms, a binding agreement shall arise between you and The Interior Design Institute ('The Institute'). We may update these terms by posting a revised version on our website. By continuing to use our Services, you accept any revised terms.

By accepting these terms, you agree to pay the course fee ('Course Fee') for the course you have selected under this Student Agreement ('Course'). Upon receipt of the Course Fee, The Institute agrees to:

  1. Supply you with all modules and assignments for your Course ('Course Materials');
  2. Allocate a tutor to you at the time of enrollment. This tutor will be your contact and will remain your tutor while you are a student at The Institute. If your tutor is absent during this time, a substitute tutor will always be available.
  3. Mark and grade your assignments;
  4. Answer queries about your Course;
  5. Issue a Diploma upon successfully completing all assignments.

Subject to successful completion of all assignments and the Course Fee being paid in full, The Institute will award the student with a downloadable Diploma. Should you require a posted/mailed hard copy, we can organise this service for you for a fee.

Materials

Course Materials will be available to you as you progress through the Course and submit your assignments. The Institute reserves the right to withhold provision of Course Materials in the event that you fail to pay any part of the Course Fee as and when it becomes payable. If you are paying by installments, you must pay all such installments on or before the due date.

Irrespective of your progress through the Course, if you fail to pay any installment by the due date, the total outstanding balance of the Course Fee will become immediately due and payable.

The Course Materials provided by The Institute become your physical property. However, the content within the Course Materials, including copyrights and other intellectual property rights, remains the property of The Institute, Online Education Pty. Limited, or a nominated third party. You may not reproduce any part of the Course Materials without The Institute's prior written consent. You are allowed to print a copy of the Course Materials for your personal use and reference.

You are not to copy or download any of the videos made available to you to facilitate your learning, as these resources remain the property of The Institute, Online Education Pty. Limited or a nominated third party and are only able to be streamed through the resources provided by The Institute.

The Institute does not accept any form of plagiarism. If there is evidence of plagiarism in any of your assignment submissions, The Institute reserves the right to remove you from the course.

The course can be completed in 24 weeks but you are provided with 12 months to complete your studies from your date of enrolment. If you also purchase the Darren Palmer MASTERSERIES, you will be given an additional 6-month overall course extension, giving you 18 months to complete the course. Extensions beyond this are available if required, although The Institute reserves the right to charge a fee for extensions.

Persons under the age of 16 are not eligible to enroll in this course. Please Contact Us should you require further information.

Due to our international appeal, we are not able to ensure accreditation in every one of our markets, nor do we believe this is of paramount importance. Students are recommended to do their own research on this topic.

Advanced Modules

We offer a number of Advanced Modules that are completely optional to purchase and are for students of our course only (they are not open to the general public), who wish to learn more about specific Interior Design fields. These Advanced Modules are separate from the 12 module course and are not included in the standard course fees.

The Advanced Modules are only available to be purchased by students who have completed the first two assignments of the course successfully.

The Institute will allow you an extra 6 months to complete the course and Advanced Module upon purchase of any Advanced Module.

As each Advanced Module is only one module and one assignment, there are no refunds/exchanges on these purchases or payment via instalments.

Subject to successful completion of the advanced assignments, The Institute will issue you a Certificate of Achievement for completion of any Advanced Module. These certificates will only be available by downloading them from the student site, and there will be no option for them to be sent to you.

Payment

No matter what payment option you select to pay your course fees, The Institute will only charge you the published fees on the website.

If you have incurred additional charges this may be due to your card provider or financial institution charging you additional transactional fees. The Institute is not liable to reimburse you for these transactional fees.

The Institute reserves the right to request payment if you are progressing through the course faster than your payment plan. After completing 75% of the course (9 modules), the total outstanding balance of the course fees will become immediately due and payable.

Refunds

You may examine the first two modules and first assignment with absolutely no obligation for 7 days from your enrollment date. If you decide for any reason whatsoever not to proceed, email The Institute within the 7 day period for a full refund.

If you are unable to continue the course after the 7 day period, you will not be eligible for a refund. If you selected a payment plan upon enrollment, you will remain responsible for all outstanding payments on each due date until the agreed course fees have been paid in full.

The Course is not transferable to another person or enrollment in another course offered by Online Education Pty. Limited.

The following products are not eligible for refunds: Advanced Modules, Darren Palmer MASTERSERIES, Course Extensions, Portfolio Extensions and Workshops. If technical problems prevent or unreasonably delay of the delivery of Content, your exclusive and sole remedy is either replacement of the Content or refund of the price paid as determined by Online Education Pty. Limited, to the full extent permitted by law. From time to time, Online Education Pty. Limited may refuse a refund request if we find evidence of fraud, refund abuse or other manipulative behavior that entitles Online Education Pty. Limited to a corresponding counterclaim.
